Life of a Scientist

March 16th-20th

Do you think you want to be a scientist? Yes? Then this camp is for you. We will explore what it takes to do science; from problem-solving to practical skills like pipetting and measuring. During the week, we will focus on different types of scientists with hands-on activities and games. Build and launch a foam rocket, experiment with pH indicators, learn about wildlife catch and release, and watch bacteria grow!

Forestry

March 23rd-27th

Join us for this forestry themed camp. We will have a mix of outdoor education, building activities, and introductions to how people in the forestry industry work. Learn to identify local trees and create a mini ID guide, then test that knowledge in the outdoors. We will look at tree rings, tree anatomy, and challenge ourselves to see what wildfire firefighters and tree planters do. We’ll use critical thinking in hands-on activities and get up close and personal with nature!

Cancellation, Withdrawal and RefundsNS3 reserves the right to cancel a program one week prior to the start date, and will refund all fees for a cancelled program. Programs cancelled less than one week prior to the start date due to unforeseen reasons (including but not limited to weather conditions or site safety) will be rescheduled or fees will be refunded as credit towards another program. Withdrawal with refund must be requested in writing more than two weeks prior to the program start date. Any withdrawals or changes will be subject to a $10 administrative fee.
