Date Night!
Parents – enjoy a quiet night out while kids have fun at Nanaimo Science!
Children ages 6-12
Schedule:
- Check-in/Drop-off: 5:00 PM
- Free play (Keva blocks, PlusPlus)
- Pizza dinner 5:30 PM
- Science activities 6:00 – 7:00 PM
- “Ready, set, ROLL!:” Kids will explore the wheel, a simple machine that can really get around! They’ll build vehicles out of LEGO and other supplies and, test out how friction impedes movement. Cars can race against each other or take part in durability test with different obstacles for those who prefer solo challenges!
- Free play
- Pick-up time: 7:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Each child will receive 2 small pieces of cheese pizza and a juice box as part of this program. We encourage families to send their kids with additional food/snacks to round out their meal (veggie sticks, fruit, yogurt), and a water bottle, or, if there are food intolerances/allergies to the food provided, a complete dinner for your child. Sorry, we cannot provide alternatives for individual children.
Children may be picked-up earlier if desired.
