ONLINE CHEMISTRY & PHYSICS SERIES

This is a 5-week online program that targets specific learning outcomes for students in grades 3,4, and 5. This series will cover Chemistry and Physics topics and PLOs.

Come get energized with our chemistry and physics focused term. We will be exploring what makes up matter by crafting 3D molecules, and mixing and separating solutions while observing the chemical changes in them. Experiment with thermal energy and the different ways it is transferred between matter.

Students will take part in weekly online (Zoom) sessions with our Outreach Coordinator.  Sessions will run between 45 minutes to 1 hour, (options include a 9am start or a 10:30 start) and it is strongly recommended that a parent/guardian stay in the room to support the student with the activities and/or technical issues.

Class sizes will be small (up to 5 students), and families will need to gather and provide most of the materials and equipment for activities.  A comprehensive list will be provided to families prior to the start of the program.  Any specialized materials will be provided for local contactless pick-up the week before the program starts.
