Sharing knowledge: Cross-curricular approaches to incorporating Place-Based content in the BC classroom
Join us for an exciting, hands-on day of learning at VIU’s Deep Bay Marine Field Station! There will be presentations from many organizations in and around the Vancouver Island community which will give an overview of the programs they offer for K-12 students. Some organizations will give hands-on demonstrations of some of their favourite classroom activities!
Nanaimo Science is pleased to be presenting at this workshop – we will be sharing our pedagogical approach, detail the various programs we offer, and share a few quick activities with participants to take back to the classroom.
