Nanaimo Science offers a variety of day camps on school Pro-D dates and school breaks!

Our programs are science-driven, with several activities daily focused on each theme for children to take part in – our approach is very hands-on, inviting kids to explore and try things out!  Campers also have lots of fun, with crafts, games, and outdoor time. All materials will be provided.  Campers will need to bring snacks, lunch and water from home.

PRO D DAY CAMP REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

With Halloween nearing, what better time to explore the science of all things ookie and spooky! We’ll be learning about the different components of blood with a density tower, exploring the how turmeric can be used as a pH indicator with a red handprint craft, creating our own wacky creatures with Frankenstien’s Lab and more. Get ready to get into the Halloween spirit with Nanaimo Science! Costumes that are comfortable and casual enough for activities and playing outside are welcome.

Lunch/recess will be held outdoors when weather permits, which will include a walk to Long Lake (approximately 15 minutes each way, on side roads).  While this is a primarily indoor camp, students must bring appropriate outerwear for recess/lunch.

Runs from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Families must provide their own snacks and lunches.
