We are thrilled to announce that VMAC has provided financial support to Nanaimo Science for our “Saturday Morning Science” series.
VMAC is the leading air compressor manufacturer in North America. VMAC’s mobile air compressors and multi-power systems have earned a reputation for extraordinary design, build quality, durability, and reliability in extreme conditions among operators and fleet managers worldwide. VMAC has been a long-time supporter of Nanaimo Science. In 2018 and 2019, VMAC sponsored Nanaimo Science’s “Science on the Move” program which brings science activities to schools as well as programs for homeschool students and other community activities open to the public.
Saturday Morning Science is a weekend program for children ages 6 to 12 to take part in STEM activities under the guidance of Outreach Educators. Children will learn about coding, robotics, engineering, math and more during these weekly 2-hour sessions.
“Saturday Morning Science is a perfect fit for VMAC’s Corporate Sponsorship program, as it allows children to develop an interest in science, engineering, coding and robotics technology in a fun and interactive environment,” says Gord Duval, VMAC’s VP of Marketing and Sales. “Nanaimo Science is an integral educational resource in our community and VMAC is proud to be able to support them in inspiring curious minds through a variety of engaging programs.”
“We are thrilled to have VMAC support Saturday Morning Science, particularly during these COVID times where few opportunities exist for children to dive into activities where they can learn new skills,” says Elaine Parker, Nanaimo Science’s Executive Director. “VMAC’s contribution helps us at Nanaimo Science reach our goals of providing unique educational experiences for young children.”
VMAC is a local Nanaimo business and has been named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, Best Workplaces in Manufacturing, and is Great Place To Work Certified.
